Horses for Heroes at Apache’s Angels Foundation

Apache’s Angels Foundation is proud to announce a new program in partnership with Vets4Vets.  Our program is designed to help ALL veterans heal from the psychological and physical injuries of war by using peer support, therapeutic horseback riding and hippotherapy.
Veterans will have the opportunity to participate in peer support groups in order to heal and reintegrate into society.

We are proud to have Lee Cothren as our Peer Support Group Leader.  Lee is a two-time combat veteran and director of Vets4Vets in Dallas.

For more information about Vets4Vets, please go to www.vets4vets.us.org to read more about the vets4vets program.

In addition, veterans with physical disabilities will have access to hippotherapy in order to facilitate their recovery from any neuro-musculo-skeletal dysfunction with physical, occupational, or speech therapists.  Also, veterans can participate in equine oriented activities, including riding through participation in the therapeutic riding program.

Please visit www.stajduharstables.org to read more about the benefits of therapeutic riding and hippotherapy.  Download your paperwork for therapeutic riding or hippotherapy on the forms page.

If you are a veteran who would like to participate in the program or be a volunteer for the program, please contact Lisa Stajduhar at Lstaj@aol.com or 817-849-1999.
